Cincinnati Enquirer: Atrium Medical Center Among Top Workplaces
DAYTON, OH (June 10, 2020) – Premier Health’s Atrium Medical Center has been recognized as one of the Top Workplaces in Cincinnati by the Cincinnati Enquirer.
The hospital, Warren County’s only Level III Trauma Center, employs more than 1,400 providers, nurses, administrators, and staff. Employees were asked to answer an engagement survey about their workplace environment and culture. Recipients of the Top Workplaces honor were judged on corporate alignment, employee coaching, connection with employees, engagement, performance, and leadership.
“What has sustained us through the unprecedented times of the past few months is the dedication our providers and staff have shown not only to our patients, but to one another,” said Keith Bricking, MD, president of Atrium Medical Center. “Atrium has always been about its people. Our team wants the best for our patients, and that’s what brings them to the hospital every day. They also want the best for one another. Each employee brings unique talents and life experiences to Atrium. This creates a diverse fabric of experience and thought that I value as we work toward our mission of building strong, healthy communities.”
To meet the health care needs of residents of Southwest Ohio, Atrium offers a broad range of advanced, innovative care as a Level III Trauma Center and Primary Stroke Center. It is also the only accredited Chest Pain Center in Warren County. Atrium offers maternity, cancer, orthopedics, and heart care. The hospital has achieved Magnet®Recognition, which is nationally recognized as the highest standard for excellence in professional nursing.
Atrium Medical Center earlier this year was named among America’s 100 Best Hospitals by Healthgrades. This distinction places it among the top 2 percent of hospitals in the country for demonstrating clinical excellence across a broad spectrum of care. The hospital also was named among the top 10 percent of hospitals in the nation for critical care. Additionally, Atrium Medical Center’s Natural Beginnings is the only natural birth center in the greater Cincinnati area that provides a home-like setting for delivery and supports the natural process of birth. The hospital also provides services for older adults through the first accredited Senior Emergency Center in the Cincinnati region. Atrium Medical Center is the only cancer program in Butler and Warren counties that is a certified member of MD Anderson Cancer Network®, a program of MD Anderson Cancer Center.
For 2020, a record number of employers agreed to take the Top Workplaces survey. Combined, they employ 57,249 people in the region. Of those employees who received questionnaires, 36,357 responded, either on paper or online. For this year’s winners list, a record 130 Cincinnati area employers were ranked based on their employee survey feedback.
