Your doctor may prescribe certain medications, rehabilitation, and suggest lifestyle changes following a stroke, according to the NSA. Preventing another stroke can mean reducing the risk factors that may have caused the first one, according to the American Stroke Association. To reduce the risk of another stroke, you can adopt good nutritional habits, start an exercise regime, and follow your doctor’s orders, according to the ASA.
