What are the signs and symptoms of a stroke?
The quicker the treatment after a stroke, the better the chances of reduced brain damage, according to the Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Because every minute counts, it’s important to know the signs and symptoms.
According to the CDC, stroke signs and symptoms include sudden:
- Confusion, difficulty speaking and understanding speech
- Numbness and weakness in an arm, leg or face, especially on one side of the body
- Severe headache with no cause that you know
- Trouble seeing
- Trouble walking, dizziness, balance loss and lack of coordination
