Premier Health Joins MIX 107.7 To Raise Funds For Breast Cancer Awareness

DAYTON, Ohio (October 31, 2013) – Premier Health primary care physicians and specialists know that preventative care is the most important key to unlocking the fight against breast cancer.

That’s why Premier Health teamed up with MIX 107.7 (WMMX-FM) October 19th for the annual Concert for a Cure. The concert, which was held October 19th, raised nearly $10,245 for the Noble Circle Project, a local organization of women surviving cancer.

Fans enjoyed acoustic performances by several musical acts such as Parachute, Serena Ryder, Five For Fighting and Walk Off The Earth in an intimate setting at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Dayton. This is the fifth year that Premier Health has been the title sponsor of the event and the presence of more than a dozen of its physicians at the event proves the health care leader is serious about breast cancer awareness and prevention.

“The diagnosis of breast cancer, like so many other forms of the disease, is a life-changing moment for many women,” said Ken Prunier, president and chief executive officer of Premier HealthNet and Premier Health Specialists. “Education about the disease and the importance of preventative care continues to be a top priority. Our hope is that this event will help raise funds to encourage the women fighting the battle, but also to remind women not yet touched by the disease that they play an important role in their future health.”

The Premier HealthNet and Premier Health Specialists physicians, nurse practitioners and staff were on hand at the concert to answer questions from attendees. Representatives from the Noble Circle Project were also in attendance to explain the goals of their charitable organization.
