Premier Health Specialists Expands Its Presence in Northern Cincinnati

Health Care provider to offer patients new choice in four specialties

MASON, Ohio (April 14, 2015) – Premier Health Specialists (PHS) will strengthen its commitment to patients in northern Cincinnati this month when it opens its first OB/Gyn practice along with three new specialty satellite offices in Mason.

The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness, a new obstetrics and gynecologic practice, along with Perinatal Partners, Advanced Cardiovascular Institute, and Middletown Pulmonary and Critical Care will open offices, which will bring PHS’s services closer to patients in the growing market.

“These new offices will allow us to meet some of our existing patients where they live and offer new choice in specialty care to those we have yet to serve,” said Ken Prunier, president and chief executive officer of Premier Health Specialists. “We are excited to expand our reach and offer patients advanced care in gynecology, obstetrics, cardiology and pulmonology.”

The Center for Women’s Health and Wellness includes four physicians – Judith Burichin, MD, Ronald Hirth, MD, Amy Renshaw, MD, and Rhonda Washington, MD – offering complete gynecologic services such as annual exams, colposcopies, endometrial ablations, hysteroscopies and menopausal management. The center will also provide total obstetric care including fetal non-stress tests, high-risk pregnancy care and ultrasounds.

Perinatal Partners, Premier Health’s renowned maternal-fetal medicine practice, will open its first satellite office at the Mason location. The practice specializes in high-risk pregnancies and provides care for multiple births including screening for birth defects, maternal nutrition, and other health evaluations.  The center is part of the National Institutes of Health Maternal-Fetal Medicine Network which provides women with first access to new treatments created to reduce the risk for preterm labor and other complications from multiple gestations.

The Advanced Cardiovascular Institute specializes in the delivery of high-quality, comprehensive cardiac care. The Middletown-based practice treats diseases such as heart failure, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease. Middletown Pulmonary and Critical Care treats patients with breathing problems, lung disease and those in need of airway support. The practice’s three specialists offer procedures such as bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and thoracentesis and also provide an intensive care unit (ICU) and respiratory care.
