.After 25 years of doing ACL surgery, I'm actually excited about where we may be going over the next four or five years. Traditionally, an ACL repair was not considered. Back in the early eighties and nineties, they failed. That's when reconstruction and taking other tissues to replace the torn ACL came into traditional procedures. However, recently, there's been a push towards looking at repair options in a small subset of ACL injuries. We've seen studies on this currently that show maybe an improved recovery from actually trying to repair the torn ligament in these patients and getting them back even a little bit quicker. I say that without a lot of study data to support it at this point but we're following the data, the techniques are available and it's something we can discuss in approximately about 20% of our current patients.
