First Care After Hours is centrally located in Beavercreek and offers an extensive variety of services.
I’m Dr. Ratna Palakodeti. I'm the director of First Care After Hours Clinic. There is quite a bit of need in the community for health care after hours when the doctors' offices are closed. And, also there are a lot of patients who are temporary residents or people who don't have a physician and people who are travelers and all those people have needs some health care, quality health care, and that is what the After Hours Clinic would provide. When the doctors' offices are closed, then we are open to serve those people. The major difference between urgent care and after hours clinic is that we are complementing patients' doctors' services, so we are open only when their doctor's offices are closed. And, second thing is that we do provide all the information back to their primary care physician promptly by next day, and, so that the doctor knows what has happened to the patient.
Hi, I'm Nick Davis. I'm one of the doctors at First Care After Hours. Once of the reasons I think First Care After Hours is a nice place to go on the nights and on the weekends is because we use the same electronic medical record, the same charting system, as the rest of the Premier Hospitals. Um, so that means that we have the same access to your medical record from your primary care office and they have access to our records here, so we can send electronic communication with them, stating what we did, so they know if we had to change a medication or if you are on any new antibiotics. First Care After Hours is located at 1911 N. Fairfield Road, so that puts it right between Kemp Rd. and Dayton-Xenia Rd.
My, my name is Roberta Kern. I'm a family medicine doctor. Um., also trained in sports medicine, as well. Um, um, practice here over at the urgent care here at, um, Beavercreek at First Care After Hours. First Care After Hours is open from 7 to 10, Monday through Friday, in the evenings and from 12 to 8 on Saturdays and Sundays. Um, and it is open most, ah, holidays.
Whether it’s a split lip, a sprained ankle, and earache or strep throat, First Care After Hours can help.
We pretty much see patients of all ages, ah, from, ah, pretty much infants, newborns, ah, to, as old as you can get, for the most part. Um, we're family practice trained, all the docs that work here. Um, we're internal medicine and pediatrics trained and so our training encompasses all ages and as well as all, pretty much the specialty, a little bit of specialty of everything, um, so in that case, you know, if you have a little of, of a head cold, you have a lot of snot or what-have-you, and need to get evaluated, ear pain, what-have-you, we can look at that. Um, if you feel like you may have broken a finger, ah, you may have cut your leg, you might need stitches, you might need x-rays. We have the capability of, of assessing that and evaluating it and if needing done, x-ray is, ah, capable here, on staff here on the office, as well as if you need, again, stitches, um, we can put that and usually we'll evaluate it and manage it here in the office..
