Pelvic organ prolapse it is where the pelvic organs of a female start to come down and fall into and even out of the vagina. The best way to think about it, is that the bladder sits on top of the vagina, which sits on top of the rectum and the uterus is at the top of the vagina. So, whether it be the top of the vagina, the uterus, the bladder at the front or the rectum at the back, they could all push down or even out of the vagina.
