What is a musculoskeletal ultrasound?

A musculoskeletal ultrasound is essentially just an ultrasound that can be done in the office where we take an ultrasound, which is using sound waves to get images inside the body just like when you go get an ultrasound of a baby when you're pregnant. It's the same technology, but we use it to look at the tendons, the ligaments, the bones, to see if there's any signs of injury.
