Premier Health Nurses Receive $64,000 in Scholarships from Walden University
Walden University held a recognition event in April 2018 for five Premier Health nurses who recently were awarded scholarships totaling $64,000.
The scholarship recipients are:
Renea Crawford, MSN, RN-BC, clinical informaticist, System Support Nursing Informatics
Renea received a $16,000 to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
Jennifer Long, BSN, RN, associate nurse manager, pulmonary, Miami Valley Hospital
Jennifer received a $10,000 scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Bonnie Rieger, MSN, RN-BC, clinical informaticist, System Support Nursing Informatics
Bonnie received a $16,000 scholarship to pursue a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree.
Jessica Slater, RN, BSN, CCRN, sepsis program manager, System Support
Jessica received a $10,000 scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree.
Emily Van Culin, RN, BSN, CCRN, clinical nurse, medical surgical intensive care unit, Miami Valley Hospital
Emily received a $12,000 scholarship to pursue a Master of Science in Nursing degree.

- Peggy Mark, system vice president and chief nursing officer
- Ashley Peters, MHA, BSN, RN, nurse manager, pulmonary
- Pam Phelps, director of nursing informatics
- Allison Potts, MSN, RN, director of nursing
- Michelle Adkins, MSN, director of nursing
- Latoya Masterson, MSN, RN, director of nursing and respiratory care
- Brenda Miller, MSN, RN-BC, manager of clinical education
- Yolanda Munguia, DNP, RN, RN-BC, academic partnership program manager
Walden University awarded more than $500,000 in scholarships as part of a nationwide MSN and DNP scholarship program, with more than $60,000 going to Premier Health nurses.
