Advancing Neurology: A Holistic Approach Aligned with Premier Health's Mission
By Zakiya Robinson, system business development director, Premier Health
We Care: The Clinical Neuroscience Institute (CNSI) has a deep commitment to patient care. Our providers and health care professionals prioritize compassionate, patient-centered care, ensuring patients receive personalized treatment tailored to their unique needs. The care team’s expertise spans a wide range of medical and surgical neurological disorders, including but not limited to epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, spine and brain tumors, and neurodegenerative diseases. By integrating cutting-edge technology and evidence-based treatments, CNSI strives to improve the quality of life for our patients, fostering a supportive environment that emphasizes empathy and comprehensive care.
We Teach: CNSI is committed to training the next generation of providers with a rigorous academic program and hands-on clinical experiences. Students gain in-depth knowledge and practical skills to be well-prepared for their future careers. For more than 15 years, CNSI has partnered with the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine (WSU BSOM). As part of this collaboration, Bryan Ludwig, MD, chair of the CNSI, now serves as the endowed chair of the WSU BSOM Department of Neurology. His leadership has led to increased recruitment, the creation of top-notch training programs, and improved access for patients in the region.
We Innovate: CNSI is at the forefront of neurological research, exploring novel treatments and technology to advance care. CNSI has created unique programs, such as the Brain Mapping Center, by fostering a culture of inquiry and collaboration. The Brain Mapping Center is the first in the Midwest and brings together a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, neuropsychologists, neurologists, and radiologists to provide advanced care close to home. CNSI partners with the BSOM on groundbreaking research and clinical trials to increase medical knowledge and improve care for neurological patients.
We Serve: CNSI is deeply invested in serving the local and broader community. We support and participate in various community events, including the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, American Heart Association’s Stroke Awareness, Walk Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Epilepsy Foundation Ohio, and more. CNSI provides valuable services to impacted populations and community members through clinical programs and partnerships with local organizations. Our commitment extends beyond the confines of the clinic, actively engaging in initiatives that promote health, well-being, awareness and education.
CNSI’s commitment to caring, teaching, innovating, and serving our community exemplifies Premier Health’s mission. It supports a comprehensive approach to high quality care for our patients, learners, and community.
