Cardiothoracic Services Expand at Atrium Medical Center

As part of the heart and vascular partnership between The Christ Hospital Health Network and Premier Health, Dr. J. Michael Smith will begin providing cardiothoracic surgical services in the Middletown area on a part-time basis. Smith joins Premier Health’s John Miller, MD, and four advanced practice providers at Greater Dayton Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeons, located at Atrium Medical Center, in offering this expanded service to residents of the greater Middletown area.

Dr. Smith holds the Castellini Family Endowed Chair in Cardiothoracic Surgery at The Christ Hospital Health Network. He is joining the medical staff at Atrium Medical Center as part of a collaborative partnership between The Christ Hospital Health Network and Premier Health, which gives more patients in the region access to highly specialized cardiovascular care close to home through joint efforts of leading experts at both organizations.
