Critical Value Change for All Factor Activity Assays

CompuNet Clinical Laboratories will be making a change to the critical value threshold for all Factor Activity assays, effective July 7, 2021. 

The new critical value for Factor Activity assays will be <20%. This will involve a phone call notification to the provider at this threshold. This allows for proactive detection of bleeding issues and other coagulopathies in the patient.

The following tests are affected: Factor Activity II, V, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, XII and Chromogenic Factor VIII.
