Fidelity Health Care Launches New Service Line to Benefit Wound Patients

Premier Pulse     March 2025

By Melissa Dillard, application analyst, Fidelity Health Care

Fidelity Health Care has launched a wound vac service line to benefit wound patients. Our Cork wound vacs allow our team to work in conjunction with facilities to provide continuity of care.  Applying Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) in the facility, Fidelity can switch out the NPWT with the Cork vac, before the patient goes home. This causes less disruption to the wound, resulting in better patient outcomes.  Fidelity has an experienced wound team of 10 certified wound nurses who use advanced wound products in the care of patients. Cork vacs provide the quickest healing mode for most wounds and can be used on any wound with drainage and 0.1 depth. Over the course of care, wound vacs decrease the number of times a wound needs to be disturbed.

By bringing this service in-house, Fidelity’s patients can rent wound vacs directly from the organization rather than through a third-party device manufacturer. Currently, Fidelity owns 36 wound vacs and plans to expand its inventory as demand for this service grows.
