Fidelity Health Care Launches Ortho Bracing Program at Premier Health Hospitals

On February 24, 2025, Fidelity Health Care launched a new ortho bracing program at Premier Health hospitals.  This initiative is designed to streamline patient care and support our physicians and nurses by expediting bracing. The initial focus is on spinal bracing patients in the emergency department and postoperative patients throughout the system. At Fidelity, the program is currently staffed by three brace fitters, led by Angela Stahl, DEM bracing and orthopedics manager. The brace fitters are located onsite at the hospitals' sites to promptly fit the patients for braces. There are plans to expand the program in the near future, including hiring another brace fitter

By bringing the service in-house, Fidelity can save costs while enhancing efficiency.  Providers can place the order for bracing directly in Epic. The order is then transferred to the Fidelity system. Providers can message the brace fitter team via secure chat in Epic using the “Fidelity DME Bracing Only” group. For patient brace needs after hours or on weekends, nurses can send a secure chat to “Fidelity DME Bracing Only”.  Please note that this program replaces Hanger products and processes.  For more information about this program, please email Angela Stahl at amstahl@premierhealth.com.
