Fidelity Health Care Provides Community with Private Pay Options
By Joni Donoher, senior manager of customer service, Fidelity Health Care; and Melissa Dillard, application analyst, Fidelity Health Care
Fidelity Health Care provides private pay services to facilities and individuals, offering peace of mind to needy families. They have been a trusted source of safety and care for our community's most vulnerable patients.
For the past 25 years, Fidelity has proudly served the Sisters of the Precious Blood at their Salem Heights facility, providing round-the-clock care through a staff of registered nurses and aides. Fidelity staff supports the sisters with care and education about new diagnoses, changes in condition, safety assessment, medication management, post-operative service, assistance with doctor appointments, and personal care.
Fidelity's Independent Care Service (ICS) division allows the Home Care agency to extend support beyond traditional insurance coverage, ensuring patients receive the care they require to age safely at home. Whether it is day shift, overnight, or 24-hour support, seven days a week, the team collaborates with patients and their families to determine the best care plan for their needs and budget.
Accredited by The Joint Commission, the ICS division also seamlessly works with patients' long-term care insurance plans for reimbursement. The team comprises nurse aides who help with activities of daily living and clinical staff capable of providing specialized care.
Some examples of services include:
- Medication management
- Wound and ostomy care
- Mobility and balance evaluations, along with personalized home exercise programs
- Speech and swallow evaluations
- Traveling companion and care for out-of-town trips
- Non-medical transportation services with a nurse aide ensure patients reach appointments, meals, or family/social events without hassle.
