Premier Community Health Provides Nursing Care to 18 Area K-12 Schools

Our K-12 School Nursing Program is currently active in 18 area schools, providing a comprehensive range of health care services designed to meet students' diverse needs. The program encompasses clinic management, 1:1 nursing care, and substitute nursing services, ensuring students receive consistent, high-quality medical support.
Types of Services
- Clinic Management
- Daily operations: Our nurses manage the day-to-day operations of school clinics, handling routine care such as first aid, medication administration, seizure, and diabetic management, as well as required health screenings.
- Health education: We promote health education and wellness to students and staff, fostering a healthy school environment.
- Emergency response: Nurses are trained to respond to medical emergencies, ensuring prompt and appropriate care.
- 1:1 Nursing Care:
- Medically fragile students: We provide specialized 1:1 care for students with complex medical needs, including tracheostomy care, feeding tube management, and respiratory support.
- Developmental disabilities: Our nurses support students with developmental disabilities, ensuring they have the necessary care and accommodations to participate fully in their education.
- Individualized care plans: Each student under 1:1 care has a personalized care plan tailored to their unique medical and developmental needs.
- Substitute Nursing Services:
- Continuity of care: We offer substitute nursing services to ensure that there is no disruption in care when the regular nurse is unavailable.
- Trained professionals: All substitute nurses are thoroughly trained and familiar with the specific needs of the schools and students they serve.
