Our Diverse Workforce
The Employee Experience
Diversity and inclusion drive employee engagement and create the space for employees to bring their authentic selves to work, take risks, and be innovative. This starts with a culture that rewards differences as the norm and embraces thoughts and perspectives that challenge the status quo. At Premier, there are several programs in place to foster a culture of excellence and growth, including the following:
Incorporates diversity and inclusion the moment onboarding begins, imparting Premier's values and expectations for creating a positive and inclusive work environment.
Provides new leaders with the expectations for creating an inclusive, equitable environment from which all employees can benefit.
Provides an open forum where employees with shared interests can collaborate to advance the organization's commitment to diversity and inclusion, support cultural events as requested, and serve as a key resource in brainstorming and sharing ideas, information, and experiences to enhance a culture of inclusion. Gives employees an opportunity to meet with key leaders throughout the organization about how to navigate their careers.
Raises awareness about current events, emerging trends, and cultural observances, such as MLK Day, Hispanic Heritage Month, Holocaust remembrance.
Drives dialogue to help employees understand the perception of diverse employees.
Measures the employee experience through the lens of diversity and inclusion. Using this data, Premier evaluates gaps in employee experience on race, age, gender, job class, and shift, and implements measures to continue to improve the employee experience.
