Gem City Surgeons offers a wide range of treatments and services for patients who need breast care. Our skilled professionals specialize in cancerous and non-cancerous breast care. Through our association with the Miami Valley Hospital North Breast Center, we can coordinate your care and support you during your entire breast care journey. We’re located in the same building as the Miami Valley Hospital North Breast Center, which gives you convenient access to onsite laboratory and radiology services.

Our physicians who specialize in breast care are Thomas Heck, MD, FACS and Michelle DeGroat, MD, FACS. They bring extensive experience in caring for a wide range of cancerous and non-cancerous breast conditions, as well as great compassion for their patients. 

In conjunction with the Miami Valley Hospital Breast Centers and their advanced imaging technology, we can focus on early detection of breast cancer and ensure our patients receive advanced care. The Miami Valley Hospital Breast Centers have been recognized for excellence by the American College of Radiology.

Board-certified radiologists, specially trained in mammography, work closely with mammography technologists and other physicians to ensure high quality, comprehensive care for every patient. Wait times are reduced by having diagnostic mammograms and ultrasounds reviewed by a radiologist and discussed with patients before they leave the breast center.
