If you or a family member needs outpatient mental health or substance abuse services at any age, Samaritan Behavioral Health is committed to offering a wide range of services that teach, touch, and heal. We are a partner of Premier Health, serving residents of the Southwest Ohio community, including Miami and Preble counties, for more than 50 years. Our team includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed counselors and social workers, and registered nurses.

We offer services from crisis care to in-home counseling for substance abuse:

  • Samaritan CrisisCare, offering suicide prevention and crisis counseling through Montgomery County and Preble County locations.
  • Youth and adult counseling services, including assessments, care plans, individual and family counseling, referrals as needed to a psychiatrist for medication and management, plus links to community resources.
  • School services, bringing licensed therapists into select schools to provide student assessments, individual therapy, and family therapy.
  • Young Children’s Assessment and Treatment Services for children under age 6 with disruptive or aggressive behaviors, attention and hyperactivity disorders, trauma, autism, or developmental disorders.
  • Substance abuse services, including individual, group, and family counseling, as well as medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction.
  • Intensive home-based treatment provided by a therapist in homes for teens and families struggling with behavior and substance abuse in Montgomery and Preble counties.
  • Prevention Services offered through United Against Violence of Greater Dayton, a program sponsored by Samaritan Behavioral Health to prevent violence and bring systemic change to create safe communities.
