Blood Pressure Screenings
High blood pressure is a silent killer. It damages blood vessels but often shows no signs until the damage has already been done. High blood pressure can lead to:
- Stroke
- Heart attack
- Heart failure
- Kidney disease or failure
- Vision loss
- Angina
- Sexual dysfunction
Premier Health’s blood pressure screenings can identify people with high blood pressure before symptoms show up. Follow-up treatment can ultimately be life-saving.
What Is the Ideal Location for a Screening?
An indoor, temperature-controlled location is needed due to the sensitivity of screening instruments. We’ll need to avoid cold drafts, high humidity, and the sun. Some locations that work well are:
- Churches
- Community centers
- Senior centers
- Workplaces
What Will Our Group Need to Provide?
We’ll arrive fully equipped with the supplies we need to screen everyone who attends the blood pressure screening. You’ll need to provide:
- Access to electricity
- Tables and chairs
- Trash can
How and When Can Our Group Schedule a Screening?
Booking your group’s blood pressure screening three to four weeks in advance is ideal. But if we’re available, we’re happy to accommodate a shorter notice.
