Benefits of Premier Health School Partnerships

Our partnerships with area schools and universities demonstrate our desire for long-term, hands-on, active relationships within the community. These partnerships have many benefits.

On-Site Athletic Trainer and Strength/Conditioning Specialists

Every Premier Health school partner receives an on-site certified and licensed athletic trainer. These athletic trainers specialize in strength and conditioning, injury prevention, and the recognition and treatment of sports-related injuries. The athletic trainers work in conjunction with Premier Health’s board certified sports medicine physicians, as well as other rehabilitation specialists, making it easy for student athletes to get the care they need and get back in the game.

Coaching the Coaches

Coaches at Premier Health partnership schools can become CPR certified through classes taught by our athletic trainers. The classes provide certification from the American Heart Association.

Premier Health also provides coaches with a two-hour first aid training course, which is a requirement for certification with Ohio Department of Education's Pupil Activity Permit (PAP). The two-hour class teaches the basics of injury prevention, injury care, and health issues. The class is ideal for anyone who supervises students, and has been approved by the Ohio Department of Education.

Medical Education

We work hand in hand with educators and other school staff to offer programs that supplement STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, Medicine) programming. These programs aim to enhance existing school curriculum and promote physical and mental wellness. Our programs cover the principles of bio-medical sciences and human body systems using traditional classroom discussion and other interactive methods.

Health Care Careers

Our career exploration programs are designed to stimulate student interest in health care careers. In addition, students at our partnership schools are invited to participate in volunteer activities at our hospitals and health care centers. Such opportunities provide valuable exposure to the many careers available within the health care field.

Speakers Bureau

Premier Health partner school communities (faculty/staff, students, parents/families, community members) have the opportunity to become better educated about health care. Our wide range of interesting programs include important health information, health care advances, health education, and career opportunities. Our speakers include physicians, nurses, and other staff members.

Wellness Programs for Employees, Students
