Occupational Health Program Plans
Premier Occupational Health, a service of Premier Community Health, provides the region's business community with accessible, cost-effective occupational medicine and health services. This includes pre-employment testing and the treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses by physicians experienced in occupational health.
Injury Care
Workplace injuries and illnesses cost employers millions of dollars in lost productivity and workers' compensation costs each year. Premier Occupational Health offers employees comprehensive services designed to treat work-related injuries and additional health and wellness programs for employers that focus on keeping employees healthy and injury-free.
Our expert health care team works with employees from their injury diagnosis through all the steps — including physical and occupational therapies and case management — until they are able to return to work. If needed, our physicians will work with employers to understand the injured employee’s job requirements and offer accommodating guidelines.
When injuries occur outside our regular business hours and are severe enough to require more aggressive treatment, our emergency and trauma centersare accessible to serve our clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Less severe injury or illness can be treated at our urgent care locationsseven days a week. Occupational health staff can easily access reports and results for injured employees seen in Premier Health’s emergency departments, or those who have been referred to a hospital for additional procedures. Drug and alcohol testing is available by request in the emergency department.
Medical Evaluations and Related Services
Pre-placement physicals are a valuable investment in the hiring process and can be used to determine if a prospective employee is physically able to perform the essential functions of the job. We provide a full spectrum of exams and screenings, including return-to-work physicals and fitness-for-duty exams after a prolonged absence.
Drug and Alcohol Testing
Urine drug screens and collections are done in adherence to Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) regulations. Drug testing using a hair sample or a hair collection is also offered. Drug screening may be done with pre-placement exams, and/or for Department of Transportation (DOT) and non-DOT, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, or return to work. Our eScreen instant testing for non-DOT employers offers results within minutes of a specimen collection.
Programming, Screening, and Testing

- Respirator fit test
- Lab-based urine and hair drug testing and collections
