Meet the Sports Medicine Team at Madison High School.
Cody Cummins, AT
Cody graduated from Wright State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in athletic training. He contributed to an article published in The Sport Journal in 2017, “Effect of Therapeutic Tape on Upper Extremity Reaction Time.” Cody is a first degree brown belt in Judo-likyu and enjoys video games and going to church. He says, “The first pillar of athletic training is injury prevention, and that is my aim with my student athletes.” He joined Premier Health in 2016 and is currently the athletic trainer for Madison High School.
Michael J. Griesser, MD - Orthopedic Consultant
Dr. Michael Griesser received his medical degree from Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in 2006. He completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Ohio State University in 2011 and an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at The Cleveland Clinic in 2012. Dr. Griesser is board certified in orthopedic surgery and he practices with Premier Orthopedics.
Timothy Linker, MD - Medical Director
Dr. Timothy Linker received a degree in biology from Mt. Vernon Nazarene College and his medical degree from the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University. He completed his family practice residency at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, Ohio and went on to complete a sports medicine fellowship at Grant Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Linker is the medical director for sports medicine at Atrium Medical Center and owns a sports medicine and family practice in Mason, Ohio.
