Partners On the Field And In the Classroom
From college athletes and high school sports teams to kids interested in health care careers, many area students have encountered a Premier Health employee on the field or campus. The health system’s partnerships with more than 100 schools and universities
throughout the region support many educational and health initiatives, such as our Daily Mile program in Centerville that encourages elementary school kids to make a habit out of moving, and our Injury Prevention Center, whose programs discourage high school students from drinking and driving after prom. Our Learning Institute
offers students access to valuable job shadowing, tours, internships, and career exploration opportunities to help guide them on their future paths.
Premier Health also is proud to partner with the University of Dayton on a dietetic internship program, and Miami Valley Hospital employs more than 200 of the 365 residents and fellows enrolled at Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine.
Premier Health works to keep student athletes healthy through sports medicine services at about 40 area schools at the high school and collegiate levels, providing access to the expertise of our athletic trainers and team physicians. Because when we say “Our Care Lives Here,” it’s often just down your school’s locker-lined hallway.
